Mold Dog Alert LLC is based in Sioux City, IA. We generally serve Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Minnesota but are willing to travel farther on a case-by-case basis. Sioux City's location allows us to easily travel to Sioux Falls, Omaha, Okoboji, Des Moines and anywhere in between. Give us a call to discuss specific travel rates, if you live outside of this area. We can either make accommodations to come to you or help you find someone in your area.

Cost is based on:

1. Square footage

2. Number of rooms

3. Distance of travel

Pricing is comparable to other mold inspection methods and is often less expensive. Other methods can be confusing, require specialized equipment and lab work, and provide inaccurate results. Mold Dog Alert LLC can provide simple and accurate results for your entire structure, on the day of inspection!

*Discounts offered on travel rates for referrals if we travel to your area. If you can find us other inspections to do while we are in town, we would be happy to reduce or wave our travel fees.

Mold can grow over time, exponentially increasing the area it covers. Getting an inspection done on a newer structure could identify leaks or problem areas that are just starting to develop mold. This would allow you to deal with a much smaller problem (and cost) than if it was allowed to grow for years.  

The answers to those two questions are "no" and "absolutely not". We are not a mold remediation company and we are absolutely not affiliated or partnered with any. We strive to offer you the most accurate results and that means we are completely independent of any outside influences. It also means, we will be happy to tell you that your structure has no mold if that is what our inspection determines! We are not partnered with nor will we ever take referral fees from a mold remediation company.

If you decide to get an inspection with Mold Dog Alert LLC, we will set an inspection date and time. As soon as your inspection is completed, you will have your full results. 

*We do accept requests for expedited or "emergency" inspections pending availability. 

1. When you call with questions or to set an inspection, we will get some basic information from you (square footage, # of rooms, areas of concern) and give you a price to inspect your structure.   

2. We will send you a price quote and some other inspection information via email. Then, we will finalize your inspection date and time. Your price will never increase once the inspection is set.

3. On the day of inspection, you will need to remove any pets or other animals from the structure, prior to the inspection. 

4. Woody and his handler (Dylan) will arrive at your property in a regular vehicle, with no markings or advertisements. 

5. We will conduct a thorough inspection of all rooms, walls, cabinets, flooring, bathrooms, showers, basement, utility rooms, crawl spaces, around furniture, and any other areas of concern. The handler will mark any area where Woody has "alerted" to the odor of mold. This can take anywhere from 1 hour (for a small house) to several sessions (large commercial structure). 

6. The handler will then do a walk-through with you to discuss where Woody has "alerted" to the odor of mold and thoroughly explain to you what that "alert" means and what it tells us about the location of the mold. (example: an "alert" coming from an HVAC system require interpretation from the handler and will be thoroughly explained to you)

7. We will make sure the results of your inspection are clear and easy to understand, prior to leaving your property. Our top priorities are honesty and accuracy, at every inspection. We will provide your results with those priorities in mind, to empower your decision on how to proceed. 

8. After the inspection, we will email you a written report with your results and would be happy to provide answers for any follow-up questions or concerns. We also appreciate documentation of Woody's successful "alerts" and constructive criticism on how we can improve.
